Building Trades 101

This program prepares students for an entry-level position within the construction field.  During this 9-week course, students will construct a storage shed from the ground up.  The course will include building the platform, framing the walls and roof, wiring the shed for electricity, finishing the walls (both inside and out), laying the flooring, and shingling the roof.  The class will also include safety in the use of power tools and the OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification.


Building Trades 101 requires that all applicants take a reading assessment.  The exam will be scheduled once the application is received, and enrollment opens in June.

Times:  3:30PM - 7:30PM
Tuition: $3,154

The following items are needed in Building Trades 101:
  1. Jeans or other heavy duty cotton work pants
  2. Work boots
