Tom Guillon Named New Director of SCRIC

Tom Guillon has been named the new director of the South Central Regional Information Center (SCRIC). His extensive experience in IT management and organizational leadership, coupled with his active involvement in community organizations, positions him well for his new role.

“I am so thrilled to take on this new role,” Guillon said. “This opportunity is not just a professional milestone, it’s a chance to further our purpose of being a trusted and innovative technology partner, dedicated to amplifying the positive impact of our school communities.”

Guillon has been working at BOCES in the SCRIC since 2011. He started as an IT project coordinator and quickly advanced, becoming the manager of IT services in 2013.  In 2018, Guillon was promoted to assistant director at the SCRIC. In this role, he helped grow Managed Services and led strategic technology planning for school districts, demonstrating his commitment to innovation and staff development.

In his most recent role as SCRIC deputy director, he managed a $40 million budget, streamlined SCRIC's service offerings, and led initiatives to enhance staff skills and competencies.

Guillon is taking over for Christine Choi who will be BOCES’ new executive officer of operations.
